Article
1
Membership
Section
1: Types of membership. Membership is available
to all interested in Amateur Radio Communications. There will be 1 type of
membership
A)
General
General
membership is available to all persons interested in amateur radio. The party
will have full voting rights, E-mailed the MIRA Newsletter, and access to all
Monadnock Independent Radio Association meetings and functions.
Article 2
Dues
Section
1: The Monadnock Independent Radio Association
shall charge no monies for membership. However the person or persons
requesting membership will be asked to fill out a membership form. This is
meant to be for a conformation of membership.
Article 3
Liability
Section
1: The Monadnock Independent Radio Association
shall assume no liability for any injury or other damage sustained at any club
function. (Meetings, indoor or outdoor function’s, etc) while acting on behalf
of the association.
Article 4
Service
within the club
Section
1: Board of directors. The board of directors
will consist of a President, Vice President, secretary, Treasurer, and a
director-at-large. Duties are outlines in the Constitution Article 3.
Article 5
Removal of a member or
club officer
A)
A petition for removal of a person from office or membership must be submitted
in writing to the Board of Directors with a minimum of six (6) signatures of
current members of (MIRA). The petition can be submitted any Board meeting. The
Board will have an emergency meeting on the issue. Then
tabled to the next regular Board meeting. The petition will remain in
the club archives for a period of one (1) year.
B)
Following the Board meeting the person being removed is to be notified
immediately by E-mail. If no email address is provided the person being removed
is to be notified by US mail. A copy of the petition and the date of the next
Board meeting shall be included in the notification.
C)
At the next regular Board meeting, The matter will be re-opened and acted upon.
Following discussion. If the Board of directors finds the removal to be in the
best interest of the Monadnock Independent Radio Association. The board shall
call for a vote of the current membership of (MIRA) at the next general
meeting. A two- thirds (2/3) majority of the current membership that are
present shall be required to remove the member or officer.
D)
The person removed from membership or office will not be eligible for reinstatement.
Unless a written petition is submitted in writing to the board of directors
with a minimum of six (6) signatures of current members of (MIRA).The petition
for reinstatement must be presented in writing. See section A through C.
