                                     November 17th Meeting Minutes

 

Members in Attendance:

 

Dave Anttila, Jeff Mungovan, Rita, Mark Stone, Lester Foote, Will Butler and Steve Flood.

 

The meeting started at 11:00 AM.

 

Sam Bordner talked with Jeff a few weeks ago about offering his time to assist with club issues. On Friday November 16, Sam was offered the position of Membership Coordinator. A vote was taken and all was for and none against. However Sam may be placed in another position.

 

Jeff has not had time to contact the owner of a piece of land in Dublin. It is November and it is too early.

 

Pending members who have not filled out membership forms. Have run out of time. They are no longer on the list. They need to fill out a membership form to be put back on the list.

 

Screening Members: In Light of recent events involving the club. Steve Flood suggested a way of screening Prospective members. Either through Referrals or to vote on membership. To prevent issues from coming up again.

 

Steve Flood came up with some membership ideas. Gift cards (ETC) There is an issue with members coming to meetings. Steve is willing to supply gift cards.

 

Jeff suggested a slush fund. 50/50 Raffle type of program. Jeff will be looking into the non profit tax paperwork. Mark was curious where the money should go should MIRA fold.

Tabled till the January 2008 meeting.

 

Sam and Mark have been nominated to be Treasurer. Possibly Treasurer and Co- treasurer to Eliminate Issues.

 

Sam will be notified as quickly as possible of his nomination.

 

Mark indicated that the web site is having Issues. Hopefully will be fixed soon.

 

Repeater: The Crystals have returned from being retuned. However the Duplexers need to be retuned. Mark is hopeful the Duplexers can be tuned to 146.175. If not a set that can be tuned will need to be bought. For the record the PL Tone will be 203.5 hertz.

 

Christmas Party: Will be on Saturday December 15th at 1PM. This will be a “Pot Luck”

For Food. Please No Alcohol. There will be no meeting for December. Please do not spend anymore than $20.00 for Food / Drink. Dave Anttila has offered his home for this event.

 

Jeff will take care of the RSVP announcement.
