Welcome to John Chamberlain.

The Campout got rained out and it got mentioned way too late in the year. Next year earlier with a rain date.

There is possible free area up in Dublin, Jeff needs to call and see if we can use the field. Bob Weis owns the property so look for more info to come on that.

We are in need of a social coordinator for the club. It will be there job to set up activities for the club. Jeff no Longer has time between work and everything else.

Christmas Party, possible 1/2 cost at the Legion, $250.00 to rent the hall. {Contact S.F.C George Haney} Jeff will talk to him with John being a member.

We may need a treasurer... Get the number of people that are going and divide it by the total cost and each person/family unit pays that price. Verses having to have a treasurer. We are still trying to keep the money out of the club.

Carl little did the work for the club Logo shirt. $2.50 for the shirt. And it cost roughly $7.00 a piece for the Embroidery. Preferred color is green. However personal preference is ok on the shirt color. The suggested color is white for the Embroidery. Credits go to Lester Foote.

Next Monday we are switching back up to 10 to keep it simple. Also this will greatly assist those in need of assistance.

Amateur radio testing for those interested in getting/upgrading There amateur radio License. Mid to late December. Jeff talked to Dennis WA1HOG who is an examiner. He is willing to assist if necessary. This is a work in progress. It will be 14.00 for the exam pass or fail this includes your license or upgrade. For those whom do not have your Amateur Radio license this is good for 10 years.

UPDATE on the Repeater and website: The repeater is getting closer, ham fest* is coming up in 2 weeks... Jeff has come up with some resources not sure of the condition of that. The permit expires in January so there is still some time.

Website: Back up and running. We had a forum{chat boards}  up and running but the forum failed so that needs to be reinstalled and will be back up and running soon. Mira1.info there is info up and on it now. It is a work in progress so please bear with us on it.

Board of director pics should be up on the site, with at least a group pic. Coming soon

1st personal list with a call sign or Handle is up on the website for all to see.

BRUNCH Location: Greeks minus Holidays, Because the price does go up on holidays at the Greeks.

Turn out has been low but not sure if that has to do with the local change or if it’s because it was summer.

Members were reminded of exactly what the board of directors are responsible for.

During our summer break. The Director at large, President, and Secretary purchased Nextel’s. Out of pocket. This decision has proven to be very effective in administrative purposes.

An E-mail from Dennis Hennigan WA1HOG. The Monadnock Ledger Transcript over in Peterborough wants to do an article on Amateur radio. Kevin MacLean is the guy. Jeff has emailed the guy and is waiting for a response...

*Ham Fest : NEARFEST Deerfield Fairground Route 43 in Deerfield Oct 12- 13 Opens 9AM Friday. Talk in Repeater 146.700 PL 88.5. In the Auburn area use 136.5 PL Free parking outside the gate. $10.00 for walk in’s.

Lester and Dave gave 2 CB radios and power supplies to the FD intended for town use in the EOC { Emergency Op Center} The red Emergency Trailer is a co owned deal between Jaffrey and Several other Towns. Jeff inquired about amateur radio going into the trailer. Dave Chamberlain agreed that amateur radio equipment should be in there so that it is there if needed in an emergency. And mobile communications were best for the incident.

Dave Chamberlain stated a Jaffrey official may have a lead on Amateur Radio equipment.

Jeff Offered when NEARFEST comes around to buy a VHF radio and donate to the town. For the RED Trailer. Jeff was advised to hold off for now.

There will be more to come on radio ops if and when stuff hits the fan, keep an eye out for more updates as to what is going on with that as Jeff works more with Dave Chamberlain. AKA: The Jaffrey Fire Chief.
